aidTrain is a woman and Black-owned small business that provides training on US Government Regulations for Grants, Cooperative Agreements, and Contracts. Our expert trainers have more than 60 years combined experience, with thousands of participants from nonprofits, corporations, auditing firms, and government officials working both in the United States and globally.

Meet the Team

Keith Edwards

Managing Partner and Trainer

Keith Edwards is an international consultant with more than 30 years of experience in organizational management, operations systems, compliance, risks and assessments. His focus is to make sure you prevent operations and implementation disasters, don’t make the mistakes that he has helped others solve and focus your resources on expanding the work that your organization is so well known for doing.

Originally from bustling New York, Keith now lives in stunning Cape Town. His current loves are spending time with his 10-year-old daughter and storing enough energy to keep up with her, getting dirty hands in his garden, and dreams of using his knowledge from garment construction courses he is taking to establish a fashion design brand one day.

Shannon Meehan

Managing Partner and Trainer

Shannon Meehan has worked more than 30 years internationally. Since 2012, She has been an International Consultant where organizations call upon her for a variety of trainings and interventions that focus on her operational, finance, human resources skills and her humanitarian intervention expertise. She has lived and/or worked throughout the continent of Africa, the Middle East, Europe and South Asia. Her Humanitarian work was highlighted in the book, Those Who Dare, by Katherine Martin (2004). Shannon speaks French, Wolof and Malinke.

While not working around the globe, Shannon enjoys baking, taking long walks and collecting seashells as she snorkels for miles in the Atlantic Ocean.

Libby Spader

Managing Partner and Instructional Designer

Libby Spader has served the NGO sector for over 20 years. With concurrent specialties in learner-centered design and USG compliance, Libby has designed, developed and delivered in-person learning to over 3,000 professionals in over 30 countries per year. As Program Director at InsideNGO/Humentum, Libby oversaw all learning programs and developed a cohort of trainers who continue this work today.

At the sunset of her career, Libby's dream is to develop the next cohort of compliance trainers.

Libby lives in CT, near NYC and her two grown children, Layla and Darius. She is an avid naturalist, pollinator pathway participant and maker of bone broth. For fun she enjoys disco dancing around the firepit!

Laura Malaguerra

Managing Partner and Events Director

Laura Malaguerra has over 15 years' experience managing event strategy, budgeting, marketing, and operations. She realized she had a passion for events when she planned the company holiday party at her first job as an administrative assistant at ACDI/VOCA. During her time at InsideNGO/Humentum, she planned events in over 30 countries and conferences for up to 1,500 people.

Outside of work, she spends most of her time with her husband, 3 kids, and a rambunctious Aussie Shepherd mix. They live in a 100 year old house in Washington, DC, and are always planning for updates!
